More Than a Ride —
A Journey into Moroccan Soul
Camel riding in Marrakech is one of the oldest traditions of the Saharan world. Long before cars and roads crossed the desert, camels were the lifeblood of trade routes connecting sub-Saharan Africa to the Mediterranean — carrying spices, salt, and stories across golden dunes.
Today, climbing onto a camel at sunrise over the Agafay rocky desert or beneath the swaying palms of the Palmeraie is to step briefly into that timeless world. You hear the silence of the desert, feel the rhythm of the camel's gait, and watch the light shift across landscapes that have barely changed in centuries.

An absolutely magical experience. Our guide was warm, knowledgeable, and made us feel so welcome. Watching the sunset from the back of a camel over the Agafay desert is something I will never forget.

We booked the private camel ride for our anniversary and it exceeded every expectation. The hotel pickup was on time, the camels were well cared for, and the mint tea at the end was the perfect touch.

I came with my two kids and they absolutely loved it! The guide was so patient and funny. The Palmeraie is stunning — green and peaceful. We did the combo ride with quad bikes and it was the highlight of our trip.
Thomas K.
Best tour in Marrakech, hands down. Super easy to book, great communication beforehand, and the experience itself was authentic and beautiful. The desert light at golden hour is unreal. Highly recommend!
Laura G.
I was nervous about riding a camel but our guide put me completely at ease from the first minute. The whole experience felt genuine — not touristy at all. I left with photos I'll treasure forever and a huge smile.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before your desert adventure
How long does the camel ride last?
Our camel rides range from 1 hour to half-day experiences depending on the tour you choose. The Palmeraie ride is typically 1 hour, while the Agafay sunset experience lasts around 2–3 hours including transport. Private tours can be fully customised to your preferred duration.
Is hotel pickup included in the price?
Yes! Hotel and riad pickup is included in all of our tours at no extra charge. Our driver will meet you at your accommodation and bring you back after the experience. Just make sure to provide your address when booking.
Is it safe to ride a camel? Can children join?
Absolutely. Our camels are gentle, well-trained, and cared for by experienced handlers. Children of all ages are welcome — younger kids can ride with a parent, and our guides walk alongside at all times to ensure everyone feels safe and comfortable.
What should I wear and bring?
We recommend comfortable, lightweight clothing and closed-toe shoes. In summer, bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. In winter evenings (especially at Agafay), bring a light jacket as temperatures drop after sunset. Don't forget your camera!
What is the difference between Palmeraie and Agafay?
The Palmeraie is a lush palm grove just 10 minutes from central Marrakech — ideal for a quick, scenic ride among thousands of palm trees. Agafay is a dramatic rocky desert plateau 30 minutes from the city, offering vast open landscapes and breathtaking sunset views.
How do I book and what is the cancellation policy?
You can book directly through our website or by messaging us on WhatsApp. Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance are fully refunded. We understand that plans change — just let us know as soon as possible.
